Jim Prilliman

Sept. 6, 1946 – June 1, 2019

James (“Jim”) Prilliman was born at the Wilson County Hospital in Neodesha on Sept. 6, 1946, to Norma and Roy Prilliman, who had a farm at the northwest corner of Lafontaine, Kan. Jim grew up there along with his sister, Linda, and brother Alvin, several dogs and cats, and about 30 milk cows.

Jim attended Lafontaine schools in grades one through six, then went to Neodesha High School for grade seven. The family was active in 4-H, Grange, the First Christian Church and school activities. Relatives visited their farm many weekends and holidays.

In 1959, the family moved to southern Oregon. Jim graduated from Crater High School in Central Point, Ore. He served in the U.S. Army and worked in building supply businesses. He enjoyed exploring the mountains and deserts of the West with his cousins and brother.

Jim was a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.

He is survived by his daughter, Patti, and her children, his cousins, and his sister and brother.
