Edna Mae Shoop, 61, of Fredonia, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at the Via Christi Medical Center-St. Joseph Campus in Wichita, KS. She was born June 21, 1945, in Wichita, the daughter of Leo Melvin and Goldie Josephine (Robison) James.
She worked for the City of Fredonia at the recycling center for 20 years. On Feb. 27, 1989, in Neodesha, she married Orville George Shoop. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 2002.
Her survivors include three children, Patricia Witt, Jerry Witt and Larry Witt; three sisters, Mary Brooks, Neva Millar and Carol Walter; and three
brothers, Allen James, John James and David James.
Graveside services were Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at the Havana City Cemetery with Orvillle Schertz officiating. A memorial has been established in her name with the Cancer Center of Kansas. Contributions may be sent to the funeral home.
